I've got a bass boat with no rails or anything to mount rod-holder on. Any ideas on how to set up 4-6 rods for drifting? Any input is greatly appreciated.

I purchased bases from WalMart and screwed those to the boat. The rod holders are removable so they won't get in the way when you are chunkin lures. The rod holder and bases come together.
I love to do a lot of things and aint good at any.

I purchased Top mount base yesterday from extreme fishing concepts website. It's a base that fits onto the cleat. Then u can thread on driftmaster or whatever setup u like. Seemed the best option for my ranger reata in the back. May do something different like bee ready in the front

In addition to my comment. The reason I will going with different option in the front is because the cleats are too far back to attempt spider rigging for crappie

Here is what I did. Remove the cleat. Take a piece of flat metal and drill the holes to match the cleat. Weld a piece of sq tube as a riser in the center of the screw holes. Weld a second piece of tube as a cross bar that should be level with the water. Then mount your rod holders on that. To keep it from scratching the boat I put felt pads on the back of the plate. Will try to find a photo.
