Good job Keith. Dont let tumater take anything away from ypur awesome session. I remember when he first started carp fishing we shared everybit of info we had with him. As far as blacking out pictures to each his own. But ACA will never hide anything from our fellow carpers. I got a solution, I will claim it MY SWIM and get pissy everytime someone fishes it. Im also going to claim the whole day use area at Emma. If yall want to fish them yall need to ask me. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Congrats Kieth! Mike said it best... So many folks are turned off by accepting carp/buff fishing as a sport because of the secretive types and the ego's that go with it. B effers are a problem that have been around forever, hopefully tpwd will wake up and see carp/buff as a game fish, but it starts with educating and getting new people involved...

I feel there is nothing wrong with being secretive with swims that you have scouted and put in tons of work on. Sharing information is one thing but giving the farm away is another. I shared a great little lake in dfw and next thing you people shared with their friends. a buddy of mine was fishing it one day and there where guys taking carp, koi and mirrors and filling up a laundry basket and were going to use them for bait. Now that lake has no more mirrors and koi. You can educate people about carp fishing without giving up your swims.

Bowfishing sucks

Keith the whole thing is you made no effort whatsoever. We were depending on it when my son and I have time to fish which will be in july most likely.Although there will be fish to be caught, there is no joy in it for us fishing a hammered swim. I told him him I would rather just blank on LBL 7 straight days like last summer rather than help hammer a great swim. I insist Scott's stepson hendrix just suckerpunch me in the gut for messing up a great place for him to fish.Young boys much prefer to catch a fish in 5 minutes rather than 5 hours to 5 days.

Like I said I had fished there on multiple occasions before I talked to you about it. In fact I fished there a couple of times before and after the very early ATC's. When I asked you where it was last summer I wanted to confirm that you had been fishing a swim that I already know about.

The swim is no more hammered now than it has been over the past two years and will still produce fish whenever it is fished. The same local anglers (at least 10 local carp anglers that I know for sure have fished it before) will continue to fish the spot, the bow-fferes will still do what they do on Lake Austin since it is not protected, the meat eaters will attempt to catch fish regardless.

I will not ever black out the background of my pictures to hide it from anyone since I disagree with all the secret squirrel stuff that goes on.

Regardless of any of that thanks for trying to spoil what for me was a great days carp/buffalo angling culminating in a new PB which is a very rare thing for me.

Keith don't worry about it. I was shown that area 2 years ago also but never fished it. Weekends are not friendly on LA. With as many anglers as we have in the area crossing swims is going to happen at some point. Now if you went and baited it for a week and on the day to fish, they were already set up, then I would be pissed.

So this means you don't keep your word of publicizing the swim as you promised me without at leasttalking to me as you promised.I don't have the time you have to fish mondays and a ton of hours each year.Publicizing with such a report always greatly increases swim pressure to great extent.Maybe just crop a picture of the buff would have helped a ton instead of a five pack of swim picks.Things have been great there I talk to the locals who mainly have just seen you fishing and me and Scott.Along with the rest who knew that is plenty enough pressure for a swim.I had also been to the swim before Scott told me but I didn't know its real potential until he told me of his successes. He trusted me like I trusted you but you break that trust with no apology whatsoever. Thats all I wanted here was you to say gee sorry Materbut it aint gonna happen.

Dude,, let it go its not "your" swim or anyone else for that matter. Public waters man, hell the.kind of angler Keith is, he could pull a 60 out of a puddle of water. If something.needs to be said, then how bout u call him or pm, and quit the bullchit. And whats all the talk about pressure, we're not in the u.k, there really is no pressure here on the wild waters.

Of course it's not my swim thats why I shared my info with Keith to help him out when he was blanking onLBL.When someone is ther e before me at this swim or any I never have no problems rolling on down the road to another spot.

From what I can tell from our website analytics, the bickering on this thread has brought more attention to that swim than the article itself.

As far as keeping his word - as long as I have known Keith, he has been a man of his word, a real stand up guy. He is always willing to help out other anglers in any way he can. He definitely wouldn't try and spoil anyone's PB by tossing accusations around and throwing a temper tantrum.

If you want a swim that no one else will fish, then cut one out and don't tell anyone. I think its ridiculous how you think you can claim a public boat ramp as your own.

No ACA angler will ever lay claim to any swim on any lake, or black out any photos. If we show up at a swim and someone else is already there, then we go elsewhere. Simple as that.
