Tommy and Gordon have been great over the years, they've been doing this for many many many years!

Its funny to me that FOM had to increase their payouts to even get anglers to pay attention to their circut, that sounds like bribary.

Media has tried many things to add intrest, but it is a tough time to put on bigger events right now.

Is it possible that entry numbers are down in general because of all the new options out there? I see a lot of guys fishing new trails this year. I don't know that there are less people fishing, as stated above, it's reached a point of dilution, no way we could expect same numbers of entries when there's this much competition for Saturday tournaments.

Maybe dual tourneys with combined payouts but division points separate is the answer???

Ttt is drawing good for a new trail. There are too many in the low end of field. I'd like to see what a 500 buck entry point looked like ran properly.

Same people fish both trails.

I understand that, and I know many that do! I was just pointing out FOM's poor attendence before this year's pay increase.

I can see how mixing religion and gambling makes perfect sense.

Media Lost A lot of Anglers whaen they started making fly off the handle decisions, such as banning Hydrowave and Arig......

Yes I know they reversed thereself on both issues, but it was that kind of kneejerk reaction that has cost them participation.

Payouts might not be that great, but at least Media increased the 1st to $2K with 20 teams. I know of another circuit, which costs the same to enter, with a FAR LESS payout with the same number of teams. Just saying.

There was no kneejerk reaction to the Hydrowave by Media Bass. Our rules did not provide for the Hydrowave at the time. It took a couple of seasons to accommodate the use of the Hydrowave (is that a knee-jerk reaction? two years?).

The A-Rig itself is restricted only by how many hooked lures you can use on one. The A-Rig flew on the scene quite rapidly and unsuspectingly.
Have you ever had to change patterns, techniques, or lures while fishing to "stay up"? Tournament Organizations have to stay up too. Media Bass still sees multi-hooked baits (especially one that is designed to catch five bass at a time) as a potentially serious threat to the "Sportsmanship" of our tournament angling.

How can anglers safely cull five in the box and five or ten more in the boat?

Please, be accurate when making public statements.

Because they are not catching 5 at one time. A crankbait has 6 hooks and the A-rig has 5 hooks. I have not seen anybody trying to ban treble hook lures.
