Just wanted to express my opinion about Media Bass. They have pulled a sorry move as far as I am concerned. Their original schedule had their tournament on May 4th on Lake Tyler. They changed their tournament to Lake Palestine, also on May 4th. They have not had the number of entries as they have had in the past (19 in their April tournament), so they decided to "piggy back" the Fishers of Men tournament (45 entries in their April tournament), scheduled for Lake Palestine also on May 4th and has been scheduled on May 4th since last fall.
BlueOvalBass Hard to argue with you on this oneat least when Media moved the scheduled Lake Tyler tournament over to Palestine on top of FOM over a month ago it gives Lake Tyler a break from the beating its getting this spring.

Well, I see some people here are ready to throw stones here. For those who think Media Bass made this change to "rob" from someone, you would be wrong. Media Bass made this change for the sake of fishermen who want/need the option available to fish both divisions for yearly point standings, that is all. Tommy Morton put his schedule out early last year. Tommy also used the same weekend of each month for his dates. Now, when a trail changes weekends and disregards other trails schedules, a weekend like this can happen. So, if you or someone you know is without blame, throw stones.

By-the-way, yes, you can be disqualified from Media Bass. Media Bass has a "Fair and Balanced" approach to rule violations. Please, be accurate in your public statements.

Just going by what your infractions say. Thats all iam saying! Wished media would go back to the oledays when cowtown ind had over 100 entrys and there was not so many divisions thats why all the division are so small and the pay outs are bad! Iam not throwing stones iam just saying my opinion!

As we have all stated at some point or another there is too much dilution to have large fields anymore. Even the re-invented Champs 3 bass doesn't pull near what the old days pulled.

Not too sure what the uproar is. More entries = better payouts

Dax are you New? All divisions of all tournmants are down in numbers and pay-outs. Bass Champs, TTT, BFL, BASS Weekend Series, Local Bass Clubs Just to name a few. Sure places like Fork and Rayburn still draw a good amount, but as a standard entries are down. I would say less people are fishing Tournaments for many reason. Media has tried many things to add intrest, but it is a tough time to put on bigger events right now.

There are several trails who've seen good growth in the last few years. And no Dax isn't new. Lol

Media East tournament schedule was not published until after Christmas. Because I still have the email where I kept asking when were the dates going to be published. Not taking sides though, just stating a fact. I wished it was still on Tyler because I.know of two new teams that were going to fish. Oh well, you can't please everybody. Tommy was just trying to accommodate his members that fish both trails. Nothing wrong with that.

I see a lot of guys fishing new trails this year. I don't know that there are less people fishing, as stated above, it's reached a point of dilution, no way we could expect same numbers of entries when there's this much competition for Saturday tournaments. Maybe dual tourneys with combined payouts but division points separate is the answer???
