I lost a DD at the boat 45 seconds after Stax stuck a 9.4. Still one of the most exciting days on the water. It was not meant to be for me.

Barrett, you have been to every top lake around and put in a ton of time for your DD.
Maybe it is time I let you fish in the marina aquarium....

Not a week goes by that I don't think about one I lost the first year I fished the McDonald's at Fork. That was almost 2 years ago. Time doesn't make it better, especially when you're that close to a new truck and boat!

Only fish that haunts me is my one my brother Hooked on Arlington night fishing. Fish hit crank bait and my brother leaned into her and she didn't move. Couple massive head shakes and a quick 15ft run at towards a dock and she broke him off on some rocks.

I still think about that huge striper that pulled my boat around. I almost had him in the net. It was only 25 years ago..thats why i keep going back!

If I had a dollar for everytime barrett set the hook on our falcon trip and said "that's a 10", i'd be able to buy myself a decent cheeseburger somewhere.

I lost a monster at falcon back when we had the lake to ourselves, couldn't get it into the net. That was twenty years ago. Since then I have caught many big fish including a high 12.... But truthfully I still think about the one that got away.
