I haven't been out to wolf this year. Too many fish in the creeks still. Once it gets hot they will move deep and be out there.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I went out there today. Weather started off terrible. It was about 40 degrees when we dropped in at the ramp and the wind was blowing hard. My rig is a little big to get up in the creeks, so I headed out to Wolf Island. Nothing was moving, and I could not find any birds working. I made a run to the other side of the lake and worked a hump just to the northeast of the marina. the hump is about 20 ft and is surrounded in by about 30 foot of water. Found them on the drop offs of the hump. We caught a bunch of undersized sandies and took home 19 keepers. Had to leave early cuz it was by buddies kid's birthday. We left them biting. I'm sure if we had a couple of more hours we could have limited out.

Nice catch!
I've fished most North Texas/DFW area lakes but haven't seriously fished RR in a long time. I am thinking of dropping in at Buck's Creek and going east for Sandies/Crappie. Does this area get a lot of pressure on weekends? On weekdays?
Buck creek traffic is not bad at all. Nice fish PK
