Falcon 100%. I don't even have a cara. I have a low rider and love the heck out of it. I use it 60% of the time on water.

I sold 23 caras last year and switched to Duckett. Not one problem. Caras are great rods by like every rod brand sometimes one breaks. Good luck getting falcon to stand behind their warranty like Duckett does. I would factor this in. For the money you just can't beat a Duckett. Now if you want to spend $225-$300 get a Dobyns but if you want a quality inexpensive rod go Duckett.

I have fished both and like the others if you want the best $160 rod get the duckett. If you want to save and get the best $220-$300 get the cara. Both are the best in there price range.

Tough choice. I have 4 or 5 ducketts and the rest of my rods are cara's and low riders.

If i were paying full price for both i'd have to swing for the cara's. They are everything i need and take a beating.

I have a few caras and ducketts. My favorite rod of all time is the Cara Amistad. both are good rods though.

Falcon is made in the US. Ducketts in china. I've seen 2 of the pro's using ducketts break a rod during normal use on shows. I've eyeballed the ducketts at cabelas several times and not pulled the trigger due to defects. Way too many rodtips skewing to the side or misaligned guides.

Falcon guy here. I don't even think you can put Caras and Ducketts in the same category. Ducketts aren't bad rods by any means, but they ain't no Cara.

Falcon is your best choice out of the two for sure.

If you are going to spend the money on a cara, check out a dobyns first. You won't be disappointed...

Go with a falcon!!!!! All 5 ducketts I have owned plus 2 of my dads the eyelet inserts always fall out. I take very good care of my rods too so that's not the issue.
