Fished the chocolate river today with a few nice guys today... nice fat sandies.... broke off a few hybrids.... Fishing will probably pick way up in a few days when all the muck clears out.

Where is this creek x at?

Just got back from bike trail landed 8 sandies from 6 am to 10. Very slow pressure was high the whole time.

Sorry posted in wrong thread. Creek x is called creek x for a reason. Otherwise, it would look like RC and get trashed.

No need for creek X a.k.a. (#&",",%, lots of fish still at RC! I dont know how long but today was awsome. Biggest sand bass Ive seen or caught.
report: Went north of HH at sunrise. Saw jumpers, shad on top and muddy water. Fished minnows on bottom. No luck. As I rigged for blue gill to head south to a spot I found them in last time I had someone walk up and we talked for a while. Left and got skunked on blue gill. Said F it Im heading home. Went to HH to see who was there not planning on fishing it. Saw the guy who fly fishes and watched for a min. Looked over to my right and the 3 guys on the bank to the right of HH had almost full stringers. Then I realized the people wading were talking about how those guys were killing them. Decided it was worth a shot and stood on bank to there left no ware close to them but able to fish some what close. BAM! Biggest sand bass Ive seen or caught. 2nd one was the same. Then a third before the 17inch hybrid. #1 hook with large minnows. They had jibs and were tearing them up top water. I saw double, tripple, and quadruple hook ups Today with a few decent hybrids inbetween.

Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.

Went to the bike park this morning about 530 to see if I could catch me some fish.
I lost four lures and only caught one fish. I really hate fishing in the dark. It was still a good time though until I caught a scrawny little MFer poaching fish with his Castnet in front of eight other fishermen. After I knew he was going to keep them I clearly let his funky azz know that ain't how we fish around here and grabbed at my phone with "Game Warden" comeing out my mouth. I had to tell him to throw the fish back two more times. This all happened about seven or 715 in the morning With plenty of light so I know what I saw. Something else that bothered me was no one called Him on this and it seemed like everybody was going to give them a pass on doing this BS. We are in the height of Sandbass run season there's no need to cheat And use a castnet. When right now they're biting dang near anything. Do what you want but don't do it in front of me. This Pissed me off so I left I don't like fishing around a bunch of people anyway. I'm Always down to stand up.

Ain't nothin better than watching a fish stretch my line.

Sounds just like Friday morning... good sandies and some hybrids mixed in. 2499 BRIDGE at hickory creek was DEAD this evening... gonna head to a nice creek tomorrow a.m. to make up for it I think

caught a bunch from white pipe to north of firewheel bridge. only problem they were all scrawny 9-12 inch males. all on roostertail. winding down...

although some young guys out there said they caught some hybrids and big sandbass yesterday. a day late and a dollar short i guess. no snakes 2day

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids

Fished from 6:30am to 10:30am tween the HH and bridge and did pretty well. I caught and released several 9 inch males along with several keepers. I was reminded once again to point the fish away as I held them to release the hook and they did a little releasing themselves.
Caught them on 1/8 roosters and road runners. They bit fairly well until about 9:30am then slowed considerably. I started throwing the tackle box at them with limited success. Keys seemed to be size (small) and color.(light)
Lots and lots of cars but everyone was spread out real well along the creek with no crowding. Saw several people with stringers of 5-8 fish. A good morning for many.
