Found a snake the other night, circling my minnow bucket, when I was about 2 miles from my truck, all by myself, with my dog, the other night, in the dark. I was so scared I did the only thing any sane person woukd do. I picked him up and made friends with him. Took him home for the night so I had company while I walk to my truck. Kept him in my minnows bucket with an all you can eat buffet and released him the next morning in his same home while fishing next to him. That is the correct procedure when it comes to not getting bit right?
Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.

Hybrids were everywhere early this morning. Me and my friend got our limits on hybrids less than an hour with two over 22", one 23", one 25.5" and the biggest one was at 27" mark. Almost as big as the two years old boy. And of course it is from RC but certainly not from HH. Caught and released a bunch of 17",18",19" with one fish still had a hook in its mouth. Live shads were the key. Crazy fun! haha cool pic man. is he holding a hybrid too? No, he was trying to hang on to his mom because the fish was about to touch him

with one fish still had a hook in its mouth. Can I get that back? I have been fishing south of HH and there are at least 4 large hybrids with hooks in their mouths...that I know of. Was using large minnows today, but they wanted them alive. It was unhooked and released because I already had my limit with bigger ones. This one was a small one, about 18".

That's a monster 1/32oz! Congrats.
I found a school upstream and caught two hybrids out of 4 cast. However, due to certain circumstances, I had to leave the honey hole.
Second hybrid was the biggest I had caught this year. I would guess and easy 26-27" but unlike yours, mine was spawned out.
Wish I had took pictures before it went back in the creek. Oh well.

There was one guy lost his rod this morning when he put it down just for a second and the hybrid yanked the rod into the creek. Lucky for him he brought an extra rod and got back to the action at no time. He got his limit also. The guy did not find his rod though. So there probably is still one huge hybrid dragging a rod in the creek or it might stuck somewhere at the bottom.
It was so hilarious! Best time ever.

It was so hilarious! Best time ever. Funny, I was just telling a guy fishing to my right yesterday morning about setting his rod good cuz when the hybrid hit, it might yank his rod into the creek. He thought I was joking but in the end he did had his foot on his rod. If this is the spot where I think you are tearing them up, the hybrids might be heading back to the lake. Lee

The hybrids are still there. Thinning out, but there. Had lots slap the fly today, and some monsters r still there. This rain Thursday might push them all out. Or, bring in another batch. I'm calling for pushing them them out. Shad are showing up thick though. I have seen the Sandies and hybrids stay in the creeks till the end of may due to large amounts of shad come up to spawn every morning and evening, and the fish stay when the bait is plentiful. Thursdays rain will tell. If it flood the creek up, Sunday will be the best day ever, or very worst day. Carp are spawning all over the creek. 100's of them. Caught the new Black Bass / Large Mouth Bass Record for Rowlett Creek. I've heard people start catching sandies and hybrids from lake side early in the morning. So that means the run is about to end. Only time will tell.

I've never fished RC, but I've been following this thread the past couple of years. Thinking about trying it for the first time early tomorrow morning. Where is the best place to park....Firewheel Pkwy? Is that the spot where you jump the curb and park on the south side of the road? (drove by once last year and I think I saw a bunch of cars there) I appreciate any suggestions!

Did anyone catch a hybrid with a red number 6 hook in his mouth. Saturday morning I laid my rod down while releasing a 17 inch hybrid. All of certain I hear my drag sounding off and when I grab my rod to set the hook my line broke. She sounded like a good one. I did catch 5 hybrids and one sandie but all of the hybrids were unders at 16 and 17 inches.

Fish by the bike trail from 9-10 am only landed one sand bass on tiny flute. Saw three hybrid caught and lots of sand bass on their string. They were using live shad. When i left i saw Carey truck in the parking lot. He must be looking for hybrid.

Fished from 7-9AM. Caught 3 hybrids with only one keeper, not too big but not too small either. One big one broke my line because I forgot to loose the drag. The guy next to me got three big ones when I left. Caught many sandies too and gave them to the guy fished next to me.
