8 ft max......average 3 ft. I think people catch crappie in 20FOW with eggs in them and assume that is where they are spawning. Truth is they just havent made it shallow yet.

anyway guys he didnt just dispel myths i heard from others ....
he also corrected my thoughts a bit on if they mite just NOT spawn and
absord the eggs as a few other species have been known to do .....
he tells me dont think so .....
he was pretty sure EVERY crappie completes the spawn in his opinion !
interestin to say the least i thought otherwise myself ....

I'm in agreement with this person. I don't care if they spawn at 4' or 40' just as long as I get some time out on the water.

Wait just one second.......... You lost your "Ketchen" dialect!!!!

Alot of people on this thread lost alot of money today!!!!!

Just having some fun. Russell

first off I want to say "Ray' is a really nice guy and very informative ,
I tried to drag him into a for sure answer because ....
I wanted to dispel some myths on the spawn and the depths and other things related to the spawn that seemed to me ...
might not be exactly what we saw and thought was true
