I have worm fished with a vendetta many times and it was plenty sensitive. I will add that it snapped on a hook set after using it for about 6 months...could have been any number of reasons it broke. That being said, my carrot stick is more sensitive than the vendetta, and I have used a duckett which is also more sensitive. Just my opinion though.

Highly recommend you upgrade. I prefer G Loomis rods. They have several different lines with different price points. The NRX are the most expensive and are very sensitive. Next down are the GLX rods and they too are very sensitive. Next down are the IMX rods and again quite sensitive. The difference is also the weight of the different lines of rods with NRX rods the lightest. I don't own a NRX rod but have several GLX and IMX rods. They are excellent rods that you will not be disappointed in for your bottom fishing with worms/jigs.

When you retire that Ugly Stick and start dragging worms with a good quality graphite rod you will be setting the hook on every rock and stick your weight hits...really! Save the Ugly Stick for cat fishing.

Why? That Ugly Stick is made of fiberglass. So it's heavy, the tip is slow, and it's not very sensitive, especially compared to the rods above. Once you get a sensitive rod you can use your bullet weight to feel out pretty much anything. You can tell it its rock or wood or metal etc. Plus you'll probably feel twice the bites. It changed my world when I finally bought a few good rods.

I recently upgraded my rod from a 6'6" all star to a falcon bucoo micro and holy [censored] what a difference. You don't have to spend 400 on a rod to get better performance. My bucoo wad 130 @ cabelas. Tbqh though almost anything would be a drastic improvement over an ugly stick.

Falcon or Duckett. Stay away from Abu Garcia and All Star. Had many problems with them. Never again. Love the Falcon Low Rider.
