Yep the creek is miles long but everyone fishes the dam and the hell hole as if they are the only places that hold fish. Makes no sense to me at all.

you guys ever thought about the socialising aspect of hh. I took 2 buddies fishing and we talked to some guys on the creek made a couple new friends and had a bunch of laughs. We could of gone upstream and been alone but it was more fun fishing at hh.

That is probably a bad idea on the weekend...

It's not necessary. Just bust out the waders and listen to the reels scream.

I really want the points for kayak wars and am only planning to CPR all of the fish so banking is something I really don't want to do right now. I have just as much of a right to be there as anyone else kayak or banker. As far as Im concerned as long as I was in a spot first it shouldn't matter if im on the bank or my yak.

That's the only reason I fish HH. Socializing with the peeps. And catch a few at that. But if you walk 100 yards down, u will catch more due to the fish are not be hammered. Think about the vibrations hitting the water every second at the HH. Those fish are spooky most of the time. Downstream the fish are more relaxed and there are 100 spots to fish.

This is true but since you have never been to RC, I suggest you do some scouting first and understand the situation. The choice is yours - as a fellow yakker, I would not but that is only my opinion and you know the saying about opinions >>>>( * )

I know after heavy rain it is dangerous/fast/muddy all that. What about during the rain. Besides the obvious Muddiness and what not. do they bite?

I only fish on days that end in Y!

All your doing is spooking the fish and pissing people off in a yak. When u come through the area, the fish push out of their holes and u just spread them out all over the place. If I see a yak, I usually find a hole far away from you.

This is diff than crappie fishing. U can sit on crappie 3 ft under the boat and they will bite.

I have a full fleet of yaks and one man pontoon boats to take clients out in. . Have y'all ever seen me in the creek during the run? I would have to wear a helmet if I did that. I would also have to get rubber and glue to paste on myself, so all the bad words that would hit me, would bounce off of me and stick to them.

But: you have every right to go where u please in a yak.

Do u eat everyday? The fish eat everyday. Just harder for the fish to find your lure or bait in muddy fast water.

For those who want to catch hybrids/more fish in RC. You'll get better chance if you fish at sun set/ sun rise.

Some of my best fishing has been in the rain. And it didn't rain yesterday - lol.

Reports, I went out from 630-900 got about 18 sandbass and a few yellow at the bike trail. There were lots of shad running up the creek. There are hardly but a few drops of rain. I wouldnt even call it rain but windy and cold. The water running a little fast but it still clear.

That IS the ONLY place with fish on the WHOLE creek! Everyone should just fish there! lol

Went there last night and saw multiple stringers full being pulled out. We were shoulder to shoulder and someone (acehole) even broke their rod tip trying to pull one in lol. Dang thing was huge! Ran right by my leg on the way downstream while he was trying to real it in. I should have just grabbed him...
