After the rain, the hybrids should have one more solid run. Limits are bein taken from HH areas all the way past Miller. Live shad, if you can find them. Blue Gills. Small baby drum. Biggest minnows you can buy. Zoom Tiny Flukes. Xraps. Medium Flukes. Carolina rig live bait.

I tried catching some shad right behind the HH area and only came up with some giant gizzard shad. At least 15+ every cast. I also unfortunately got a net full of sandbass which tore up my net a bit smirk..

I just cut the bait in chunks and it worked for me Sunday morning. Landed 1 hybrid and about 15 sandies.

Idk where the reg shad are

Caught my first Hybrids today! Manage to catch 8 Hybrids with 4 keepers and 6 nice Sandies. The under size Hybrids were 17 or 17 1/2. Almost there.... Always next year. Thanks GOD for days like these!

Fish wernt biting too well today. Only I limited on hybrids today, my buddy kept getting broke off and caught a few unders. He left with 2. We had about 10 mag sandies we kept that arent pictured (in the cooler) but threw back plenty. Limits should of have been easily taken today

Lots of hooting and hollering today all up and down the bike park area. The hybrids are going crazy up and down there. Two times a pair of them almost beached themselves next to me today chasing shad...or each other.

Saw lots of fish being caught.

As long as the creek isn't flooding anytime is a good time to go fishin. It doesn't matter where you go on rowlett creek the fish are there. Believe that.

Ain't nothin better than watching a fish stretch my line.

Will it be too crowded this weekend to put a couple of kayaks in the creek and fish? Ive never been to RC so I dont know how wide the creek is. I dont want anyone throwing lures at me because they think I am on their spot or anything like that lol

The only place you can launch a kayak would be at Miller and travel as far as 66. Anything above 66 will get you pelted with weights. I fished the bike path area this morning and only caught some sandbass. I did see some nice hybrids being landed so they are certainly in there. A good rain will replenish the creek. We need the creek to rise so they can get above the dam.
