When I'm alone, I have hit the brakes, floated the boat, parked the truck, then got a ride to my boat. Get some pretty strange looks. Most people think it was an accident???

Is it that time of year already, too early I think but it should start pretty soon... the boat ramp dummy season. Always a show... unless your waiting on them.

When I lived in Michigan, bass season opens the saturday of Memorial Weekend, we would take lawn chairs and a cooler of beer and sit at the local ramp and watch everyone load and unload boats. remember that those boats hadn't been backed in for about 5-6 months and it was a HOOT. Best Free entertainment around That is awesome!!!

I launch alone a lot, if its crowded I get the anchor line out, tie it to the front of trailer, back in and hand push boat off, pull up and beach the boat. park truck and gone in less than 10 mins usually.

Valve stem remover, pen and paper.
That's all I would need to get my message across.

Cooler of beer makes everything better.

Funniest one I can remember a guy with a new boat pulls up about 500 yards from the ramp then puts his wife in the truck while he gets in the boat. Naturally she don't know how to back a boat. So he starts giving her hand signals. They go up and down the ramp jackknifing the boat about three or four times. He's hollering do this don't do that. So finally she gets out slams the door and tells him to get his a-- out of the ---- boat and back the dam boat his self with a few other choice words. rofl how many times you seen this happen lol

Great stories, reminds me of Lake Fork during the Spawn when I was a Guide. Fortunately, we kind of had our own two Private Ramps at Axton's Bass City thanks to my friend Joe. God bless his soul.

I believe people putting a boat in the water by themselves should get some extra time but even then, have your boat prepared.
I sincerely wish that every lake had a designated kayak launch but, oh well.
DO NOT be that dumb*** that backs into the ramp and starts un-strapping, un-loading, etc. You will probably catch some grief.
Also; if you cannot back your truck down the ramp and you screw up 20 times, don't be surprised if someone offers to do it for you. If this happens, either let them do it or you dang sure better get that boat in the water yourself on the next try.
WE GOT FISH TO CATCH!

Went to Lake Arlington this past weekend to play around with my new Elite 7. When I came back in there was a high dollar F-250 power stroke Ford with a Master Craft trailer backed into the water. I saw the guy put the boat in about 10 minutes earlier, crank it up and leave. This is not the first time I have seen this jerk do this. Last time the truck was on the ramp about 30 minutes. Not sure who or what he thinks he is. I am not a vendictive person but I really thought of removing all of his valve stems.

I pulled up to the boat ramp at Joe Pool and a couple were in the boat ramp hugging. I gave them a minute as they clearly knew they were in the way but they didn't move. I got as close to them as I could without bumping them and honked the horn until they finally got tired of it. They slowly walked off the ramp and they guy was mean mugging me but didn't have the courage to say anything. I hate ppl like that. They knew they were in the way but didn't care. Of all places why would you hug and kiss on a boat ramp.
