The truck in front of me was unstrapped, ready to launch. So was mine. A truck/boat pulled up beside us, passed us and cut in front of us right next to the ramp to unstrap and unhook their boat. We both had to go around him to unload.

What was he thinking? Not cool.
Wait your turn next time buddy and get in line stir

If you dont know what you're doing, dont clog the ramp; give others a chance to unload first. Have your boat ready to drop in and go before you get anywhere near the ramp. Take up as little of it as possible. Pay attention to whats going on around you. Just what i've learned from dropping people in.

We had a guy at falcon do that last year. I thought well he must be ready to go. No, he proceeds to go down the ramp and then take 5 minutes to load his boat an unstrap while blocking the ramp crossover at the state park.

When I lived in Michigan, bass season opens the saturday of Memorial Weekend, we would take lawn chairs and a cooler of beer and sit at the local ramp and watch everyone load and unload boats. remember that those boats hadn't been backed in for about 5-6 months and it was a HOOT. Best Free entertainment around

I wish the 64 ramp on Tyler was more usable. In the spring I always enjoyed stopping there on my way home from work and spending about 30 minutes drinking a cold one and watching the ramp action.

As to the op, that guy was a d-bag.

if there is a long line it is obvious, often boats drive up side and then start getting the boat ready. you should be able to go around boats still getting ready.

OP I hear you......jerks seem to be multiplying

I feel that when in doubt ask.....I dont know how many times someone was ahead of me in getting the boat ready....I got done earlier and just asked them if I could go around and launch real quick.

its always "go ahead and good luck" or "sure, thanks for asking" I feel alot of times those same folks would be negative if I just did it. As long as you show a little courtesy and respect its amazing how nice people truly are.

What about the dumb azz art Fayette last week that loaded his boat back on the Trailor and pulled his boat out of the water but stayed on the ramp while he and his kid re strapped cleaned out trash and wiped down the boat. Damn spring break amateurs.

Saw a guy get mopped all over the ramp at Amistad for doing the same thing when I was practicing for champs down there last year.
