Yesterday, I stopped at the Hell Hole to check out what was going on. No one had any Fish? Weird. I was talking to a gentleman that was fishin there for the last 3 hours, and I asked him if I could rig his rod up the correct way after watching him for awhile cause I wanted to see if they were really there or not . ( he was using 20 lb line and huge weight and huge hook bigger than the minnow) -So, I put a 4 lb flourocarbon leader on his line and a small split shot, and a medium sized live minnow on a size #6 hook. I showed him where to cast, and wouldn't you know it, he landed one within 2 mins. I left 20 mins later and he had 5 nice mag sandies on the stringer. So with that said, they r there, u just need to fish for them my way I guess......?

Fished RC yesterday with friends - started at daybreak and ended mid afternoon. I had 17 keepers ranging from 14" to a couple pushing 18". Smaller fish were males, larger females and about 50/50 mix. Small jig heads with 2.5" plastics, light line, easy presentation and sloooooow retrieve seemed to be the order of the day. Certainly not a fish every cast situation - you have to be consistent and work a bit for them. I expect it can only get better from here. Went up to HH for a looksee when leaving and met/talked with TFly for a bit - nice guy.
Banks were very slippery - should dry out some with sun and wind but be careful. Water looked perfect IMO.
Late afternoon we went out to a creek to the west for grins and I ended up finishing my daily limit. Same technique although the water was not as pretty as RC. As with RC, you had to work a bit for the bite. Packed it in at sunset.
One thing I noticed both places is that the bite was not overly aggressive - often just a simple tap that required a hook set. I missed several not being quick enough on the tap.

Yes. The bite is like a blue gill bite. Very very light 80% of the time.

Downsize your tackle if you want to get bit. Reggie

I have texts from peeps with limits from RC, today. One guy had a limit of Hybrids. Caught them on Clown X-raps and X-large minnows. Fishermans Supply has some good minnows and extra large minnows.

I tried buying a pound of large yesterday afternoon and they were sold out...
Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.

Any one fishing down there this am????
I did a dumb thing and drive off without my fly rod. I called my buddy who immediately ran up to the fire wheel lot and it was gone.
If u picked it up, I've got a reward for you.
It's a Winston rod with my name on the shaft.
Please call me at 469-387-6130.
Thanks
Brad
