I carry a small file to touch them up if the tip end bends. Trokars are by far the best out there. There to the fishing industry what Mathews did and is to the Bow industry. The best out there? Must be talking about Hoyt. And I We stocked up last night on trokars at academy. They are worth it to me

I really like them they are very sharp and hook up good I have had too many Owners break on hook set. That is the first time I have ever heard of an owner hook breaking on a hook set, I have bent some but never break, you must have one hell of a hook set.

Trokar hooks helped my dads hook up ratio alot ,he is old and cant set hook real hard . It is all we use on tournament day. If you aint using them on drop shot and carolina rigs your probably missing alot of fish. JMO

For one to understand Trokar's advantage you have to be somewhat intelligent and analytical. A lot of people are all into saying "I HAVE A BEAST HOOKSET", these same people tend to"miss a lot of fish". They are more into their "ego driven hooksets" than catching fish...
It's simple and easy , Trokar hooks accomplish the same task with half (or less) the physical work. It's simple physics!

My opinion on these hooks is that they are the best hooks you can use. The Flipping hooks are the strongest hooks I've ever used. It is next to impossible to bend them. On top of that....I've looked at this whole post and no one even mentioned that they are MADE IN THE USA!!!!!!! Whenever it was that this quit being a factor in every purchase you make is a sad time. I know that some things are close to unavoidable...but man it sure does a lot for our country when we keep our money right here.

I have tried the wide gap and didn't like them. I kept my same hook-set and would have the fish on and then it would come off. I still have a few, but don't like them.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

ADVERTISEMENT! Thats what makes them so good. Kind of like a Ranger Boat.HAHAH! Make it more expensive and people assume its better. Put a big name behind it and they are the best. I will stick with my gami's and catch the same amount of fish as a trokar. The right equipment matched to the technique is a better route than blaming a hook.

Their straight shanks are the best I have used. I like other brands but prefer these the best.

I am not saying that Trokar is not any good, I am saying that I have never had a problem with the point or breaking or losing fish with Owners, if it aint broke dont fix it.

I like them, but I only buy them when they are on sale--which seems to be quite often.

Stren and Trilene line was just fine back in the day. Is that what you still spool your 20 year old heavy baitcaster set-ups that aint broke either?

I'm a trokar fan but...don't mess with stren. Lol...I only use izorline and stren. Flouro isn't for me...each to there on I guess... We all have what we're confident in that works for us.
