Ok im gonna try and get serious about this then. Keep coming with ideas about time and location. I think mended little hearts is a great charity to give to. My son has a heart condition, as do thousands of children in the dfw. We could give 50% to them, and the other 50% to the winner.

Do it on a Sunday afternoon since so many tourneys are on all of the Sat's coming up.

What's the rules? Real catfish line like 30lb mono and 65 braid? Level wind reels? Weight only or with a leader attached?

I don't see a need for that many rules. Just longest cast wins. We can do a short rod class, but any kind of line or reel you wish.

casting one weight is alot different than casting a weight , hook , and float... regardless I am in, I will bring the rocket and my 2000 yard spool of line.

There needs to be a limit on the weight to make it fair... 1oz isn't gonna travel farther than a guy throwing 8 oz even if he has short arms... everyone throw the same weight in each rod length class?

Nah just cast what you're comfortable with, and what your chosen rod can handle. All of these rods will be different too.
