Excellent idea Chuck. I would want to keep it cheap and fun for all, and if we could keep it centrally located that would hepl matters. I think $10 is a good entry fee. 5 cast sounds good as well. A short class (under 8ft rod), and then unlimited sounds like the way to go. That way everyone gets to participate. We could do it at someones house if they have a large enough area (Atleast 700ft of unobstructed flat land) that way we wouldn't have to worry about things like rental fees, or permits, and half the money could go straight to charity.

To make it interesting we could do like they do in the softball leagues. Chug a beer, put the rod to our forhead and spin 10 circles around it and then turn around and make a cast Yeah I just saw a dude with a weight in his face, and it didn't even weigh 2oz. Imagine what a five oz weight could do. OUCH

Maybe a driving range at a local golf course could allow us to use their range.

Sand bass point has alot of shoreline exposed right now and plenty of parking. Good idea. Several hundred yards of open bank space. Though that area can get crowded as the weather gets nicer.

Can there be a prize for shortest cast?
PB - 35# Blue Catfish Alexx PB - 7 lbs. Blue Catfish As far as Paul is concerned, he is my Bro. Lay off him. All is good. I might be in, just to hang with Paul. Sounds like a party.

Everyone should have to be casting a good sized shad head into 15-20 MPH wind to make it realistic.
