I think I will continue to yak my 6/0's. I can see the birdsnest and burnt thumb. 4/0 is pushing my limits.

Fishhauler on Waco used to have one on his boat. He cast it fine. I have an old one and dont do as well. I caught a slot blue around 35 with Fishhauler's.. With that gear ratioit is a little slow getting a big one in though. Their drags are adequate for cats but not as tough as you may think.

Yea i hear that i still yak mine out to get the extra yards if you want a really good casting reel look at the daiwa 50 sha 17 lb of drag 48 inches of line per handle turn i put this on a 12 ft meat hunter and was zipping 150 yard with a 4 ounce weight no bait of course look it up on you tube daiwa 50 sha cast listin to that baby humm im still workin to perfect it like the you tube guy but im close

Let me correct my last statemeant you can see the video of tje daiwa on you tube under texas long distance casting it should be the top vid rated like 59 percent its sumthin else
