Mark,find out who the 787 was registered to and post their name here.I saw a guy at Cabelas ft worth returning two broke falcon rods that I know were at least 15-20 yrs old.He got beligerent and demanded to see a manager cus customer service couldnt find a sku for either rod.It was all I could do to not say something.They still gave him a gift card for his troubles.

I doubt I will have any issues. I know management well from working in there during sales etc for sponsors.

I bought a spool of floro at bass pro. Got home expecting to spool two rods and someone used half the spool and returned it. Some people!

I've never had anything but the best customer service from Cabela's. You should be able to get a refund.

I know karma comes back too get a lot of these crooks. I just wish I was a fly on the wall when it does catch up to them.

this is why return policies are changing an you see some products being pulled out of major stores because of thier no matter what make the customer happy whether it was the products fault or not.

Pretty sorry. Like others i run into this fairly often. Usually catch it, but have gotten the half spool of line on several occasions. Usually eat the cost myself because when I take it back I feel like i'm the one getting looked at.


Anyway I hope the guy registered it. That would be classic

You would think that anything returned open would be checked upon return. Then checked before going to the Bargain Cave. Cabela's a little at fault also on a resale?

I was checking out at Academy with 2 rods one day and 1 fell to the side and got stuck on the turn table with sunshades. A kid behind started spinning the table almost instantly and it snapped the end off. Academy was really nice about it and let me get a new one, but judgement is everything.

I had ordered a reel and 2 crankbaits from tackelwarehouse another time and they shipped it to the wrong address because it never came to my house. I called tackle warehouse and told them. They very graciously put in a claim and told me they were sending me a new order. A few days later the original package showed up on my door from a neighbor. I could have easily kept that AND got a new reel/baits, but I called tacklewarehouse and cancelled the new order. I pray that somewhere down the line someone was watching me that day smile
