I'm assuming its a quantum? Just call them up and talk to them about replacement. I had one several years back sent it in and had a new one at the door in 4 days. They had excellent customer service then. Might give it a try.

Do I need to come up to the Alvord truck stop for breakfast, and to suggest you try the Dobyns?

If you can find one on e-bay or something, the Dobyns rod is top of the line. I have recommended it to more than 50 people and they all bought one. The Dobyns Champion 805 CB RM is the best porduction crankbait rod I know of (IMHO). In your $$$ range, the one I would probably suggest would be the KVD rod. To me, the Duckett rods are a little whippy for throwing deep diving CBs, even the 7'11" rod. Do you want composite, like you have now? KVD and BPS are the ones that fit the category. I prefer straight graphite, much more sensitive and stronger. Personally, I would avoid a glass rod for deep divers, but that may just be me. I like to FEEL waht the CB is doing at all times, going from silt to clay to sand to gravel to anyuthing else. May be just me that likes that amount of feel in a CB rod, but I like to have that feature in all my CB rods. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
