I told the cop I've been fishing there since I was knee high and asked when they changed the rules. His response was "well I guess you just never got caught." Lol this guy clearly didn't know much about fishing and didn't know anything about his job apparently. Oh well. He stops me again I will just tell him to get a second ruling.

Sorry dude, Prairie Creek ain't on the public fishing list. As much as it sucks he may be right. I had a similar issue in my home town. I got pulled over for running a red light. When I told the cop that I had been running it since he was in high school without issue he simply said that's because I never got caught. Absolutely right but I felt like I was being harrassed.

My thoughts exactly!! A cop is gonna mess with a clean cut kid minding his own business rather than being out doing something that actually benefits and protects the community.

And we wonder why cops have a name....

You might want to look at rule 25 of said site.

I work for Richardson parks and recreation and Prarie Creek park creek is place you can fish legally as far as I know.

I just checked with park superintendent and he said it is catch and release only.

Unless he was in a boat of some sort, he wasn't on the creek/pond/whatever. Unless he was wading, he wasn't in it.

I don't see how that rule applies if he was fishing from the bank.
