I would like to get an idea of which knots most of you use when tying your jigs on. Would a loop knot allow the jig more freedom to move? Or, should the line be tied tightly around the hook eye? Any comments or suggestions here?

welcome to the "TFF Family of Anglers"

Yep, me too... I tie a simple very small loop knot, just enough to let the jig swing freely.

If I want to cinch the knot tight to the jig eye, I use the Reverse Clinch Knot. When I want a loop knot, I tie the Todd Huckabee Loop

I like the loop knot also, but hard to tie when your hands are ice cold.
