Guys, there was a recent post on TFF asking about rod choices and mentioned a couple of brands. Dobyns was NOT one of those mentioned but it was brought up by posters. None of the posters were Dobyns staffersonly satisfied customers. I insist that staffers never hijack a thread. I would like to THANK all of our customers that post and support Dobyns Rods. We try hard with quality of product and customer service.

Texas is a very strong state for Dobyns Rods. I have a ton of friends and family there. If it wasnt for my grandkids, Id be a resident of TX. I may just kidnap them grin

My good friend Ernie Dye of Oak Ridge Marina paid me the ultimate compliment. Youd make a damn fine Texan and he knows how bad Id love to be one.

A BIG THANKS to all our customers in Texas!! Please feel free to call us here at Dobyns Rods with any questions 530-671-1989. Also, a Like on our face book page would be appreciated!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I have been a Loomis guy for years, but Pack is doing his best to convert me! I have used some of your rods of late and have to admit...It may not take allot for me to switch! Great rod, very well built and balanced with the right reel...You know anyone that wants to buy a bunch of Loomis sticks! thumb

You'd be a mighty big Texan, Gary!! And I'd be over every Sunday for dinner! Ha! You would definitely fit right in here in Texas! I miss you and the gang, but I'm halfway done now! Won't be much longer and I'll be pestering you again! Lol! Merry Christmas to you and the family!

Tom Redington and Mark Pack also turned me onto Dobyns rods five years ago. So I added two of them to my arsenal.

Barry, Tracy and Ernie at Oakridge Marina on Lake Fork were crucial in making Dobyns the only rod on my boat. The rest were donated to a non profit organization.

Don't get me wrong, all of my Dobyns are great. But the 804 C (Carolina Rig Special) is my favorite. If you like to throw a Carolina rig, or want to throw one more.....you have to get one!

Thanks to Gary and to all of The Dobyns Family for the outstanding service and a terrific product.

Gary, my DX 784 C ML is the finest rod I own. It's my first big bait rod, and it's a classic.

I usually deal with Richard or Miranda, and their top notch as well.

Now, all I need is a DX792SF for my flukes, and I'll be in heaven.

Thanks Gary!

I had been using custom made rods, but after buying 805 RM and 766 flip last year I have become a dedicated Dobyns fan! I started the following thread as I will be regearing everything to Dobyns in next couple weeks. It is a good thread for the average bass fisherman to know the range of Dobyns rods they need. Appreciate your great rods!

Taken off the thread tag from Rob's post above

"You won't find a more sensitive rod than a Dobyns! You can feel a fish eyeballin your bait!"

Gary, you should consider incorporating that into your marketing somehow. I laughed out loud for a second and then just went to your website. Something subliminal I guess.....

The thread title says "Big Thanks FROM Dobyns Rods". I'd like to turn that around and say "Big Thanks TO Dobyns Rods". We've been supported tremendously by the entire Dobyns crew and we appreciate it greatly. Thanks, Gary!

I would like to thank Gary for building a superior rod. I've turned all of my fishing buddies into Dobyns owners and tomorrow me and the dx745 are going to do major work on Squaw Creek.

Them Dobyns rods ain't only for bass; boys. His 701&681's are hands down the most sensitive crappie rods around, especially when you are 30' down in the winter.
