I'll be hitting Texoma Sunday for the first time. Im a recent Texas transplant from New England and a lifetime saltwater stiper fisherman. from what I've read, lake fishing seems a lot like the spring fishing we have in the bays. Cant wait to fish!

First time Texoma today... only caught 4. Graphed thousands in 50 ft range in the white cross area and ledge by the islands north of highport. Caught the 4 in 30-35 ft. Could not get the 50 ft'rs to bite. Impressed at the amount of shad and fish on graph but just couldnt get bit... Threw 2 oz shad jig, kastmaster, and swim bait.. All fish were right on bottom (caught and graphed). Just a few birds working also. But..weather was great and I was not working!! $12 Texoma license I bought expires 12/31..that sux..
