Any predictions on how the change in temperature and wind is going to affect the bite today on Texoma? I'm heading up after lunch, not expecting a whole lot but you never know.

I was there 7:00-12 today. Left birds working and fish biting. White cross was on first thing in the morning, then Big Mineral later.

Go north out of Highport and as soon as you get past the last island start veering left ( be careful not to take a hard left because it is shallow in front of the last most northern island) and round the corner of the OK side keep going and you will see it. smile

Never made it North of North Island. Deadsticked flukes in the river channel and caught 8 good ones, was hit many times but missed. Water still 60 degrees but it worked.

Guys..just cuz the birds leave doesn't mean the fish do.....I have been fishing the cross area for weeks and rarely chase birds...there are absolutely tons of fish out in that area and if ya use your graphs they are pretty easy to find.
I promise they are there everyday all day long smile

i cruised around there for about 1 hour looking every where. Found a few scattered, suspended, but for the most part, it looked vacant. Perhaps I do not have my fishfinder set up correctly. It is a Lowrance HD down imaging Elite 7? I can seem to find a sensitivity setting anywhere on it. The Elite 5 I have up front, shows entirely different reports. This, I cannot figure out. One on the TM and one on the transome and they both show differntly. The bow unit shows lots of returns and the transome mount (7)unit shoe nada??????? When I do find fish, the transome unit shows them well.

Sometimes ya just gotta fish...rarely will I ever stumble across a blacked out screen when idling around...I'll mark some scattered fish...turn the motor off and start fishing..usually within a few minutes i can get them to bunch up under my boat..
In fact it's been so good out in that area for two months now...I just get out there and shut down and start fishing..yesterday I had to wait 20 minutes for my first bite..but then they came..most days I'm getting eatin up within just minutes..

I find that people spend too much time trying to find a blacked out screen when idling around and that just ain't gonna happen..

Tomorrow ill be back in that same area doing the same thing..
