They are all good....and to add to the list of great spoons.....the Nichol's spoons are equally impressive. Around Lake Fork....availability makes your spoon choice for you if you aren't stocked up on a preferred brand. As Stax mentioned, a swivel is a must. Shawn you and Stax are right about using a swivel. I like Spros myself. More expensive but the best on the market.

Not wanting to burst many bubbles here but its not like people are having special spoon blanks made just for them. A lot of the brands mentioned come from the same stock/supplier. I have always been partial to the LFT version but I am sure they all work if fished right. I think color and and paint jobs are overrated. Its all about the flash and the thump the spoon puts out.

Doesn't adding the barrell swivel change the action drastically? Correct me if I am wrong but were they not designed to flutter and hunt around when they fall? They seem to flutter/sway side to side without the swivel and fall a little slower. With the Barrell swivel they spin like a big willow leaf blade and go straight down. Just something I have noticed. I don't know which is better, but I seem to get more strikes without the barrell swivel. To me, "Line twist" is only a concern with spinning equipment, we all use these on Baitcasting reels and I don't see line twist being an issue. What are your thoughts? I like learning new things so feel free to correct me..lol

A swivel is a must of you will start seein your line want to wrap around your rod tip and eyes in between casts and anytime there is slack in it

I don't think the fish give 2 poos about the color as long as its giving off a flash and making vibrations on the water. They aren't going to look at it while its falling 100 miles an hour and say "well that one doesn't have a black stripe down the back so I'm gonna pass on eating that one" lol I believe this to be true for most lures other than just spoons
