It's not too tough to find $4 lead jigs right now so i'd definately consider paying a little more to reduce head size while retaining the weight. I was ok paying $5-6 for the LFT tungsten jigs although I wished they had used a different hook. Yup I'm paying 4.39 for the jigs I like to use.. If its in the 5 or 6 dollar range for a 3/8 to 1/2 ounce I'm all over it.

I don't use many jigs but with a smaller profile tungsten head, I would give them a try.

I am curious as to what the demand really is for a tungsten flipping jig, football jig and possibly shaky head? I will start by saying there is no way it will happen for less than $4.00 per jig though as costs to have built are not cheap at all. I can't see it going for more than $5.00 though. have always wondered why more companies do not offer it and all I can figure is there is zero demand for it. I and a friend have talked about it and have it lined up should we jump into it but I am not sure yet if there is a true demand. They would be custom colors and hand tied as well and would eventually allow for hook choices and sizes that could be customized. i just want feedback. Thanks A tungsten football jig would be good. Better feel when dragging it. That would probably sell.

I would definately use a 1 o 1.5 ouncer for punchin grass. The thing about a lead football jig is the size gives manufactures more material to form to make the jig stay upright. If you can do a 3/4 to 1 ounce football and make the head to always stand up, Im all over that.

nope, I don't buy tungsten weights period. Just can't justify the cost. I can feel good enough with lead. For those wanting a 1 oz or above tungsten jig you do realize a painted 1 oz tungsten weight is almost 8 bucks by itself. Add a skirt, hook, and weedguard and you are gonna be pushing 10 bucks for a jig. Lets say you can get a good deal and it's 8 bucks for a jig. I realize some folks will buy em, (same people that have no problem paying 8 bucks for a single weight) but I think it's gonna be a niche deal. Kinda like the swimbait market where 50 bucks is no big deal to drop on a bait. I just don't see the majority of folks that lose lots of jigs wanting to break off that kind of money in a brush pile.

The head size is the biggest draw for me in that i think you can fish heavier cover better with smaller head. Throw in a premium hook like a Trokar, Gammy or a Owner and a jig guy could have a blast. Just a a tad more painful if you lose one though I admit. I agree to some extent. If you are fishing a football head in chunk rock, you don't want a smaller head. You will loose a lot of jigs. Otherwise, I think it is a great idea and would definitely use them.
