Don't unhook your boat from the trailer until you are in the water. Seen a couple dumped on the pavement. That ramp is not that steep. They must have slammed the brakes or something.. I believe the problem they had was they fished the day before, bunks froze overnight, unhooked prior to water and it slipped right off.

$30 a day, for that boat ramp and those steep hills.... I was a little surprised.

Be careful when you run north about 1/4 til the river the trees are thick and alot just under the water, seen a few boat get tore up pretty good, the channel is marked with red and yellow signs, look for those and you should be ok

The issue with the boats sliding off is more of a problem when it's cold. I have seen it happen 5 different times. I won't risk it. I wait until boats in the water before I unhook at squaw.
I heard that they may have done some more work on the roads and hill this week. The loose gravel on that steep hill was not very smart and surely they plan on doing more than what they have done. Oh well...just glad it's open and we are allowed to fish it again.

I believe the small mouths disappeared along with the walleye and hybrids when they powered up the nuclear plant. Too bad as I caught a 24"" smallmouth that was over 6 lbs.

do you have to make advanced reservations to fish squaw? only so many boats allowed at one time?
