My experience has been that a fish and ski really does neither very well. Get a ski boat or a bass boat, but a compromise will frustrate you on both counts. yep

I've owned two fish/skis during the last 18 years and the biggest complaint is the rod locker would not hold rods over 6'6". Look for one that does not have dark colors on the seats or carpet. They get hot and make for a miserable time on those 100* days. Bimini top is a must. If you want your family to enjoy your passion, you have to accommodate them. Some of these guys say a fish/ski does neither well, but if it gets you and your family out on the water then it's done it's job well.

I have a 94 Cajun 1900 FS Travis Edition that I bought this past spring. Very solid and stable ride. Has a Johnson 150 and runs mid 50's. I do not fish tournaments but would not be discouraged to because of my boat. Rod storage is cramped but I normally don't keep them there. Front deck is a little cramped but the back one is huge in comparison to most Bass boats. It serves my purpose and I am very pleased with it. I actually love the front live well which you don't see on many of today's bass rigs.:D
Still looking for a double digit. PB LMB 9.65# August 2012 O.H. Ivie

No, don't do it! Either fish, or ski, but not combo.

I bought a triton 21sf , has big rod locker will hold 10 rods up to 7 1/2 ft and has tons of tackle and other storage, big livewell, runs great , good in rough weather, before the triton , I had a 20ft skeeter fish and ski , the triton blows the skeeter away. My boat is a 1999 one owner that had 40 hrs on it when I. Bought it , triton is one of the best for room and fishability.

Yep, I agree with Ranger Z118. My Ranger bass boat pulls ski's and tubes very well. May have to go a little faster on the ski though.

Skis, wakeboards or tubes? I have a Triton Tx21 that I attach a stainless steel ski tripod on the rear deck. I switch my 3-blade prop for a 4-blade and away we go pulling a 3-man tube. When we're done, I still have my dual console bass boat.

I would make dang sure she will go out with you if you get it. I tell my partner every time we see one on the lake. I say look at that poor guy. You know his wife was on him. I have yet to see a family out on a fish and ski and Im on the water a lot. It's always just the husband out fishing. I would get one or the other.

I have an older Ranger fish and ski and absolutely love it. But, my two boys are are still young and go out fishing with me often in the spring and fall. In the summer, we go out tubing and kneeboarding almost every weekend and the extra seating is very handy, especially when we invite friends to go. Seating 5 or 6 comfortably just isn't something you can do in a bass boat. You just need to find what works for you. The only negatives are the smaller front deck space and rod storage as others mentioned. But unless, you have the cash for two separate boats, it is as good as you can get for both. If you do buy a fish/ ski, look around at the different platforms because some do not have a full front deck and would not fish well at all. Mine does have decent deck space in front and back, but you will need a 19+ foot boat to get that.
