Look Steve, I'm not going spend any more time on this. I didn't make these changes just to screw with people. And when I said you're out, I meant, "Okay, he's decided not to attend... His choice." I was not banning you. Anyone with any sense of tact or understanding of what constitutes an appropriate social response would never have responded to that by publicly cursing me. We're organizing these things at venues we don't have a lot of access to always. If you can't be a little bit flexible, then this series might not be for you.

I have nothing against the other folks that attend these, just thought i would be able to voice my opinion, sorry i didn't sugar coat it.

Wish I could make it. Took alittle time off from fishing. Hoping this next yr to be in more of the tourneys. Gutcheck is a great guy and I thank him for continuing the tourneys for us to participate in. Good luck to all that is fishing and be safe.

Yakitup and Prototype:

Best five fish. I give you an identifier that morning. Each pic has the identifier in it or it doesn't count. You give me your card. We're flexible, so if right now your camera has a non-standard card format, we can use the wire for downloading the pics. We don't do phones, though. Winners are determined by combined total length. I ask that all pics except for the five (or less) you want scored be removed from the card. Literally cuts the time needed to score in half. Actually, less than half. Actually less than half of half. I will not disqualify you if you had, say, a hero shot of a great fish in there, or a really cool shot of that eagle nesting off that bluff over there, but if you had, say 4 pics of each tourney fish, then it takes awhile to sort out which fish is which, how many pics etc... Many tourneys have you do a scorecard with the number of pics for each fish. There are reasons for this, but they don't make that much sense for a ten dollar tourney. Ideally, five fish, five pics, cleaned up by the angler him/herself. The way I see it, if you use a scorecard, the angler still has to make determinations about how many pics were taken, so this is just one step further that makes scoring A LOT easier. Those of us who are scoring were fishing too, by the way, (our fish are scored by other people) and I can promise you, your brain gets scrambled after losing the big one, forgetting your sunglasses, having a headache etc... you know, the stuff that happens when you're fishing hard in general. Scoring everything fairly and quickly after fishing all day like that puts a lot of pressure on you, especially if people are leaning over your shoulder. If there are 20 guys and they all reduce the pics to the five they want scored, that's conceivably 100 fish to score fairly. If everyone has 14, 18, 7, 9 etc... Well you can see that it starts to become confusing! If it takes X minutes to score 100 fish, then scoring 300 fish would take 3X minutes at a minimum, right?

Anyways, that's the idea.

I like that its at 6. Sun will be up earlier so it works well. Most all tournaments start at 6 at the latest anyways! And anyway you swing it making the smallest stink about any rule changes in a fun kayak club tournament is down right silly. Your doing good Tom, and this is the first time ive ever seen any muck in our kayak section. Lets not become crazy like the boat tourny guys lmbo.
