First, There has been ONE shooting of an American on the Lake since it was impounded in 1954......... That is one shooting in 58 yrs........ That is NOT a bad record.... More than likely a better record than what ever neighborhood you might live in.

Second, The one that did get Shot was being watched by our side before he ever got to town.... That tells me he might have been up to no good in the first place.

Yes, there are Zetas around the Lake........ No they aren't concerned with you fishing..... NO, they don't want any more media attention.

Dead is dead. When its your turn to go. I don't think it matters how you died after your dead. 3 ppl died at ivie since the Hartley guy came up missing. That's right missing. I thought here in the USA there has to be a body to say someone's dead.

Thanks for the info but we still have 5 boats going down in January. Probably have a better chance of getting killed in a car wreck driving 12 hours down and back. My personal take is I would rather die while fishing than die in a nursing home. But thats just me.

I fish the Mexican side exclusively with the exception of tiger never had a problem as far as federalies pulling guns on people on the dam. There is a Mexican army base across the dam in guerro Mexico that's why I feel safe I've been up the salineas as far as you can go and up the salado all the way to the churches never been in any trouble. I believe if we get the winds they are talking that will be far more dangerous .

I fished the SETX FED T a few week ago. Went out of the state park ramp just before daylight and had a few people swim across the channel. So pay attention. Other than that watch out for the gill nets on the Texas side as they suck getting out of your prop.
