The enforcement is heavy on the US side. On the Mexican side you see Federale helicopters. Keep in mind, neither country's enforcement crosses the border.
My money is on a body floating in Mexico is either a netter or a drug killing. Why are we so quick to push the panic button? How many American citizens have been killed on Falcon? The lake is safe, but it is wise to be aware of your surroundings. The times I have been, we spent 90% of our time in Mexican waters.

Tdonk, I saw the same thing when I was there in August. We left in a hurry but returned the next day and fished that spot all day without incident but I kept looking up on the hill. May have been safe but it made me nervous and very uncomfortable.

Bet ur last buck that there are good and bad eyes on you all the time no matter where you are on this lake. Everyone that thinks we are out there by ourselves are flat wrong. This lake is on the border of A war zone. A war that will never be won or lost. There will always be conflict and that will never change. The narco banter is extremely similar to the gangster rappers of the early ninetys in this country. Young Mexican girls wanna marry narcos and young men wanna become narcos. With each arrest there becomes a struggle for power. It's a lost cause, a bad war similar to Iraq. You better fully understand that when in Mexican water you are vulnerable and Have no defense and your risk level goes up by at least 100% as such.
Yes I go in to Mexican waters but I'm fully aware when I do so my civil libertys do not follow me.
It comes back to I hear no evil , I see no evil........If anything comes between me and fishing or the fishing sucks I leave.

Where houston?

And some areas around the airport in Austin, lots of MS13 running around

But seriously yeah there is some danger associated with fishing Falcon, but there is also a lot of Danger driving in Oklahoma city traffic. I am tired of reading this [censored], non stop people talk about the dangers of Falcon. There are lots of Americans fishing it daily, if it is so incredibly bad why the hell don't more of them end up dead.

Chlorine and fluoride are bad for you so stop drinking tap water.

Dude relax...The man simply reported a story to his fellow anglers... chill

Don't worry about falcon at all. I took my 16 yr old son and his buddy in July. It was freaking amazing. We shot strait to the Mexico side without thinking twice about it. Caught 95% of our fish on the Mexico side. We fished 2 days and I'd go back tomorrow if I could. My chances are better dying in a car wreck on the way to falcon than dying on falcon. Relax and get ready for the best bass fishing in Texas!

Really? You're serious when you say "good old days" and "people getting shot down there" in the same sentence? That's sad. You can tell by my post count I am not the vocal type but this one made me speak up. I know this forum is not to bash others but I could not keep silent on this one. Sorry.
