I guess TN has a different limit cause I see 6 bass kept. In Texas it's only 5. Hum you don't keep catfish you said you have only kept 3 but bass you eat away. Catfish taste a lot better than bass do.

Yankee? You might want to study your history books there cowboy. TN folks are way more "southern" than Texans, and we got the Volunteer State name from sending 30,000 troops to bail y'all out of the Mexican-American War. You're a Yankee too...

BTW There are much better fish to eat. Dont yall have walleyes? Bass IMO are the worst.

If you are going to have friends, you need to have a large cemetery to bury their faults. Folks is funny about bass fishing. Some get so wrapped up in being competitive they forget the joy of it. I say if you wanna eat 'em, holler and I'll bring the beer. I choose to toss them back but if you want to enjoy what nature provides, have at it.
There's a fine line between a fisherman and a fool with a stick.

Amazingly I got into 3 slab crappie on some smaller threads!! That was a first for me.

Walleye are few and far between here it's either bass, cat, or crappie and I honestly love cooking on the grill so I choose bass and I absolutely love the taste of them, spots are by far the best though. With the exception of a sow smallie but I tend not to keep but a couple those a year.

I've always fished with thought that, "I will keep a bass the day that I catch one on every cast." Looks like that philosphy will stay true to me for forever.
However, I do understand the need "TO TAKE" for private fisheries and smaller fisheries.

Jr. Gamewardens are the best Some of the naysayers on keeping those fish are the first in line after Bass Tournament weigh in's to chow down some fillets from a 40 pound flathead. LOL I don't keep bass myself but if someone is within their legal rights with the harvest, I'm not gonna bash. Carry on.

Here's my YouTube Channel and it has lots of vids of all types. I went on a quest to catch 43 local species of fish and record every catch and have stalled at 39 on the list. But I still plan on finishing next year. I had some issues arise that were far more important over the last year and had to take a break from the vids. TN folks are way more "southern" than Texans, and we got the Volunteer State name from sending 30,000 troops to bail y'all out of the Mexican-American War. Sam Houston and David Crockett were from Tenn. and great Texas heroes! As a matter of fact, most Texas settlers were from Tennessee. The Mexican-American war volunteers fought with the promise of Texas land and thats why they fought! The few survivors did in fact come back to Texas! Here in Texas were taught more Texas history than US history....C'mon man! BTW Tennessee was the first "southern" state to join the union...
