Nice pics...I noticed in one of the pictures what looked like the pine bark beetle infestation has made its way there. Yes, unfortunately ... the best fix is rain, the drought has been rough.

I was just up there recently too. It is really nice. Too bad they had all those fires and the ash killed all the fish in the river and the lake nearby. The fire got really close to town, we tried to go up the mountain to the ski resort and they had it closed The Ruidoso paper said Ski Run Road should be open by Thanksgiving. The road to Bonita is questionable, it might open to the campgrounds before the lake, but no telling when it will open up to the lake and past it. The last report I read said it maybe 5 years before the ash and mud sludge has settled. They were pumping the ash/mud sludge and hauling it away, I have no clue what is going on now.
