I did this as a kid climbing radio towers for fun. I look at it now going wow. How stupid was I????? Biggest one I climbed was illegal so I cant say but I can say it wasent this tall.
These guys are awesome!!!
I would never do it now....

I'm surprised there isn't any safety equipment to keep them secured as they climb. Unless they're supposed to use the hook as they climb and they chose not to.

Surprising that it is only a few hunert feet taller than the old SEARS Tower- which I have been on the roof a few dozen times in my life- its not the height that will kill you if you fall y'all know that right?
Its that sudden stop when you splat on the ground
or the heart attack you had as you passed the 500' mark to the bottom.
Oh- for the potential base jumper- not really a good idea- must consider the wind currents that actually swirl the tower, you will be in a flat spin if you deploy to soon and prolly wind up in the tower structure- ugly way to die....

I would do it in a heart beat. Every time I pass them in Cedar Hill, I wonder what it would feel to climb one of those.
