How about the boat with the best fisherman in it on that day and who has luck on their side during the tournament. A good tournament fisherman is like a good pool player. They will beat you no matter what you give them. ITS ALL ABOUT SKILL, THE BOAT COUNTS ALOT BUT NOT EVERYTHING. How many times have you seen a guy with an older model beat up boat win a tournament and at the same time seen a guy with a $55K plus boat come in empty.

what about the guy in a jon boat who wins a basschamps tourney solo. his perfect boat was the one that fit the situation at that given time. it's not the boat, it's the angler with adequate knowledge, that makes it the perfect tournament boat.

Winner winner chicken dinner...

Alot of the boats are pretty close in quality and are layed out a little different from each other etc.

But if you are looking for a serious "tournament boat" you need the one that has the best payback incentives for the trail you are on.

Those extra contingency moneys go along way to help with travel and expenses for practice time, gear etc on top of normal winnings.

I i was to seriously attack another trail again that paid contingency i'd use only what paid.

Not only boats , but rods, reels, sunglasses whatever.

All of the equipment at the high level is good enough today to win with, you just have to get used to it over the normal brands you prefer...
