I would never use the words, Perfect and Boat in the same sentence because there ain't no perfect bassboat. Some are better than others but they all are lacking something. I've owned 28 new rigs over the last 25 years and they were all good boats but NONE are perfect.

One that runs rough water well lists to one side when two guys are standing on the same side of the boat fishing down a bank. One that fishes really well on the troll motor rides like a chuck wagon. One that runs 100 mph doesn't have enough bells & whistles to suit me.

I go back & forth every other year when I get a new one. One year I buy a go-fast hotrod. The next time I buy a slow, smooth Cadillac boat.

This is of course, only my opinion but hey, you asked....

Whichever boat matches the incentives offered by that trail.

One you can catch a lot of fish out of..... If you can't catch fish it don't matter if you're fishing out of a cardboard box. I speak from experience by the way.... smile

My next boat will be a Legend 191 With a 200 Yamaha sho. Small enough to get back waters, perfect amount of storage and deck space, easy on fuel, fast and a great ride.

That is my first requirement. If I can't pay cash for it then I don't need it. past that its all personal preference. I had a 17' boat back in the day and caught plenty of fish in it. Actually ran that boat in much rougher water than I should have and really enjoyed it. As my budget and tasted changed I bought bigger boats. These days I am pretty well happy with a 19-20' with a 200-250 on it. Rest is just details but make no mistake I would be just as happy in any boat that got me on the water and got me to some fish. I ain't too proud to fish out of any of them.

Perfect boat clearly hasn't been made... Maybe some of us should collaborate and make it!

Tell you what you can give it to me and not have to deal with the issues of selling a boat. I will even come pick it up!

My favorite features on my Legend are the livewell temp gauge and the partners rod storage on the back deck so he doesn't have to bother me to get a rod out , he can leave a rod or two out and the rest stored in the rod locker by him.

A Perfect boat is a boat I don't have to worry bout or think about when fishing.
