I went this morning. What JD said. It worked. 10yro daughter and I limited out on topwaters and then did some catch and release. All <20 inch but still fun. Caught half outside Big Mineral and the other half outside soldier. Nice and cool morning too! Thanks so much for the tips Jeff!

I think I have 4-5 fishing days left before my season ending back surgery 9-11-12. I hope to get up there and fish before I have to put all my gear away until next year!! I am talking the wife into 1 guide trip between now and then. Hmm....

Yesterday my group of 6 found zero top water fish..first time in three weeks... But we did find a limit of 60 + drifting bait on shallow flats including many 22-25 inch fish..probably a good thing with that many peeps we didn't find em on top  Best thing about the whole day was zero boats around us all day !!! I love when the traffic starts to thin out... Only gonna be better from now thru the end f the year !! Got the same group again today..maybe we'll get lucky and not find the top water fish again

We went up yesterday and it was slow. Found some good top water near the islands about an hour before dark. mostly box fish. We may have seen five other boats the entire afternoon.
Almost time to murder some dove.....!!!!!! There will be one less boat on the water come Sept 1.
