Is this a joke thread? You want tournaments planned around your marriage status? They already have to schedule around other tournaments, boat ramp schedules, and lakes what more do you want???? I guess they could Tweet everybody registered and take a poll? If you have EVER tried to schedule a tournament schedule then you would understand that it is extremely difficult to meet the "personal" schedules of everybody. OR, OR, OR You could fish the tournaments with your kid. BassChamps has special entry with a kid.

I can see now why you are divorced. You give up and are not solution oriented Theres always a way to do something. 3 choices worth considering; 1. New Girlfriend 2. Baby sitter 3. Grandma's house 4. You insert your idea here

It is impossible to make a tournament schedule, come up with a tournament format, or set tournament hours that everyone will like. And the guys who don't like will REALLY dislike it.

I just typed out a really long reply, and realize it was dripping in sarcasm so I better just delete it.
How is this thread not marked hot or pinned at the top?
This is freakin' hysterical.
How this has never been factored in to the schedule is beyond me!?

I think the question is legit. The fact that you guys are dogging him because he is trying to work in his fun around his responsibilities as a father is a disgrace just my opinion. Had he asked if there were clubs that fish only on the 2nd or 4th weekend of the month I'm sure everyone would have been helpful. He tells you why and you poke fun, why? Because he is a father putting his kids above his hobby? Look at the stats there are a lot of women/men/fisherman in this state that are divorced with kids and have a visitation schedule. The man is venting and maybe asking for help regarding fishing tournaments, on a fishing forum.???? What???? Something is wrong when he gets made fun of for that.
I don't know of any clubs and trails that work around that myself, sorry.
Just to head off the, sure to follow, comments about my kids and or wife. My kids are, and always will be with me every weekday and weekend so I have no "dog in this hunt". Just don't like seeing a guy get made fun of for having a thought that obviously affects him strong enough for him to reach out to others. I love this forum but this 7th grade way of acting is beneath all of us. It's one thing to joke, I'm all for that, but this goes beyond that.
Ok rant over!!!

You insert your idea here I like this guy's idea!! Date your hot ex-mother-in-law (Grandma) after your divorce (girlfriend), and she can keep the kids (sitter)! BAM!! Pro tour, look out!! JB P.S. Have you noticed that Friday afternoons some of the threads get pretty interesting?

Now that I think about it that's not a bad idea for a tournament trail 2nd and 4th weekends only, but don't have to have a child visitation schedule to fish. Could get a decent turnout. And kids get free entry fees too. Idk I kind of like it.

There are a lot of tournaments out there on any given weekend, it may be harder to find them due to your weekend schedule, but there are tournaments on any given lake every weekend around here. The club that I fish with has tournaments on random weekends throughout the year... there are more options than most clubs, and you can mix and match which ones work with your schedule. Might consider something like that... http://www.texaspoormans.com/html/home.htmGood luck.

You guys r disgraceful, so much for the a little less sarcasm thread at the top. I think that Bud Light trail has a pick 6 where u can still qualify for there championship and not have to fish one division. Might involve a little more travel but with the number of tourneys they have u should be able to make it work. Good Luck
Good Fishing.

i feel your pain Bvaughan. Divorce is a terrible thing to go through, mine has spanned out over three years. sorry for the insensitivity of some on here. i have the same visitation schedule as you and it has been a challenge to continue fishing, much less competitively. luckily my ex will trade days with me on the ones that fall on a tournament date. try to be creative or maybe work something out with your ex. give me a shout if you ever need to vent. most that have never been divorced just dont understand how hard it can be. good luck, mike.
