Drove 10 hours from Lubbock to be here right now. Been here 3 days. headed home in the morning. Be careful getting around. Some rock humps just uder the surface in places--and they dont all show up on the gps map, especially some stuff in Mexico. The ramp at the state park will be unusable in another week.

Caught most of or fish on ledges in 15 foot. Bait didnt matter much. Football jigs, c-rigs, Texas rig craw worms.

It took my Dad and I around 14+ hours to get there in April and I'm trying to talk my wife into doing it again in a month. The drive is terrible(I HATE driving on interstates), the wind can really whoop your butt on that lake, but the fishing is so worth it! If it was only 10.5 hrs away I would have already been back by now!

Not for FZ1. FZ1 catches fish, wherever,he goes. Fork is far, enough, for me. Easy 75 mile drive. Cheesburger w/Bacon,and Coconut pie at Tiffany's. Smoke 15-35 fish,then,75 miles back to home. 71 degrees in my den,50" HD TV,Kingsize bed and food that does not make me throw up. That's the way FZ1 does it.

A few days and a wake up, oh yea. banana

I live about 4 hours away and have been there many many times....I'm definitely excited about the trip!

Water's a little low, so we'll see what that adds to the mix, but if the low water conditions at Amistad, Choke Canyon, etc. in the past 10 years are any indication, it should be good. At least that's how I remember it...so that's what I'm going with....
