This past Monday morning (6/1) was a good one on LL too. Went out with Fishin With Kids and another buddy and we found acres of sandies up near the dam. The birds led us to em and it was some good action from about 10:00 am until we finally called it quits at about 1:30 pm. We caught a ton of good-sized sandies with a few good hybrids just to top off the fun.

We went in Fishin With Kids' center console, but I finally got a boat of my own that I'm taking out now. So if you see a goofy guy in a red and white Four Winns F/S who looks like he doesn't know what he's doing, that's me! I'll do my best to stay out of the way of the experienced anglers and boaters.

Off to watch fireworks. Happy 4th!

For the past week we have been going out, usually starting at the damn, and working our way north. The schooling is an amazing sight to see! Using topwater we catch fish EVERY single cast, of course you have to real faster if you want to catch bigger fish!

It is great out there right now. Funny how you are in a fishing boat and the jet fleas fly up behind you as you slow down looking for fish. Funnier how yall keep calling in Lake Lewisville...

Can anyone confirm boils? I went out early last weekend lookin for that early morning boil... Never happened. It was prolly about 75% cloud cover though... We fished until 3 pm, looking for the boat shows. We got 1 limit on sandies. I've been SERIOUSLY pumped about getting on one of those boils again though... Last year I used a silver slab and it was fish after fish! Caught our limit within an hour. GLORIOUS

Fished today and saw some small schools....but IMHO wasnt worth dealing with the crowds that were there today. I am sure tomorrow will be very crowded.

Most fish were small fish in the school and the schools were rather small. Started out west of the dam at the park. They came up for 20 min (small fish) then moved to the main lake point then open water.....

Moved fast...and too many boats which spooked them..and of course you occasional big motor conscouis boater...that killed the school. Finally broke off and went to fish some humps with little success ended up catfishing.

Good luck
