Not yesterday but, a week or so ago I saw some jackwagon take off up the ramp and dump his striper guide off the boat. Nearly killed the poor guy. A+ Sorry Barrett... That was just too easy to pass up.

Not really related but I had a good laugh when I took my 10 yr. old grandson to Fork Wed. Last summer when he came to visit he learned to fish a T-rig and we used some noodles for catfishing. Wed. we left LFM and went across to the boat lane. When he saw the big white marker bouys he excitedly yelled "PawPaw, they got some REALLY BIG catfish here! Look at the size of those noodles, and they're all standing up!" I egged him on for a few minutes about them before I told him they were just bouys!

I live in Wylie as well and was surprised at how much fireworks I was hearing last night. yeah !!!...not fishing related, but I awake last night to the sound of fireworks going off outside my house - the house across the way is shooting off medium size big boom rockets and with the wind blowing directly towards my house... all the debris is falling on my house !!! I yell out using the most polite foul language I could muster and within a minute my wife said someone is at the door - I go to the door and this dude starts by apologizing in a rude fashion, well I just woke up and was a bit fired up cause this clown is endangering my house and family so my tone is a bit elevated and before ya know it he's trying to make this out as it was my fault !!!...I'm thinking to myself, this jackwagon is discharging fireworks in Wylie where it's against the law in the first place and all the hot embers are landing on my roof potentially endangering my family and property not to mention all the paper and burnt out rockets everywhere and he's got the nerve to try and make it like I was the problem...crazy !!!

Lmao that dude is so mad about flourocarbon he's following you to other threads! I try to imagine it's the SAME guy, with multiple personality disorder. It's not really funny, but it helps me get my head around why someone might take all of this so seriously.

I saw a couple jet skis running wide open through the stumps at Gilmer whilst getting outfished by my 11 yr old daughter. 10 extra points for purposefully using the word "whilst" in a post!

Saw a boat load of kids that couldnt have been over 18 on the vine in daddys wakeboard boat on the 3rd. One kid was sitting on the very top of the rack and another kid was break dancing and acting a fool on the nose, blaring that dubstep [censored]. Wanted to throw my lure at them. They were cruising through Scott's landing marina.

I've seen some real winners on amatuer days as well. We went to Ray Hub on a holiday a few years back and a family rolled up with about an 18ft cruiser. We are waiting in line and they are about 2 boats ahead of me and with several behind me. Their turn comes and they back their rig half way down the boat ramp, stop and start prepping the boat to launch and then start hauling stuff out of their SUV for the days activities. The must have tied the ramp up for 15 minutes or better by the time they got the rig backed into the water and cleared the ramp. There was a lot of angry people, me included.........

I pulled a bone head move yesterday. Grapevine, I was out on the water about to wrap up my day @ 10. I was just graphing @ the dam and it is almost empty, so I decide that I want to look at the contours. There is one boat that is fishing the bubbles (this is where I thaught they were) and I decide that I can fit between them and the rip rap. They weren't fishing the bubbles and I ended up going pretty close by them. All of a sudden my motor quits and I am sitting between them and the rip rap. I turn it over a few times each resulting in engine stoppage when engaged. I get it on the 4th try and decide that it is time to leave because something is wrong with my motor. I get to the ramp and there are a pile of people and I break out the c-rig dragger. I look back at the back and find a ski rope in tow. End up un-wrapping it and realize that Kharma struck me for cutting off that other person They didn't seem agitated, but I should have gone around them. ps. If you're the boat that I did this to, Sorry! I hope that you took my advise and got on some fish.
you know, nothing wrong with seven men who met on the internet going for a swim together

Didn't see anything crazy but felt like I was about to go crazy trying to launch at Lake Gilmer. There are only two ramps, and of course the better, deeper ramp was covered up with people shooting off fireworks. The beaching area near the second ramp had folks fishing in lawn chairs and of course there were folks fishing off the courtesy dock. As I was struggling with my boat trying to launch off the shallow ramp, someone from the lawn chair crew asked if I needed help. I almost said, yes get out of the beaching area. But, just said no thanks. I get the boat in the water finally and try to tie up to the courtesy dock since I cant beach. I thought I had things positioned well enough to avoid trouble but as I was pulling away I heard a splash and too late realized it was one of those unattended snoopy polls getting pulled into the lake by my boats trolling motor as line wrapped around my prop. Apparently the rod didnt belong to the folks on the dock because they didnt say a word. I cut the line off my prop and finally proceeded to fish but not before my trolling motor got bashed against the dock in the confusion. It still works but has issues. Anyway, wound up with just three bass to show for it all night.
