Double San Diego Jam Knot is what I use mostly I think its the strongest knot for Florocarbon hands down and the Trilene knot is good as well.

I thought you were supposed to go through the bottom loop at the hook eye And the top? You do if you are really tying a double San Diego Jam knot. The one Mark ties is a very good knot but not exactly the San Diego Jam. Im not even sure it has a name. Funny how there are basically 3 versions of the San Diego knot. With the SDJ knot you go through the bottom and the top between the loops and then cut the tag end off, the Berkley versions ends with the tag ends through the bottom and not the top and the one Mark tied in the video the tag end is at the top end of the knot.

The first one is basically a uni knot with a double line through the eyelet. The second one is another version of the double San Diego Jam knot.

Palomar is fast and easy, but there is a little trick to tying it my buddy taught me. Before you cinch the knot down at all, pull the tag end by itself to pull the main loop down. Stop when you have it 98% down, the grab both the main line and tag end and cinch together.
If you pull the tag and main line together from the start you're way more likely to end up with a lousy knot. Its especially noticeable on light (12#) test line. I can pop knot after knot, but if you try that little trick you will have good knots.
That said, I've started using the Trilene knot and a modified Trilene knot that Roy Greer showed me.

I must have read at least 100 post on knots and as most I use a palomar knot on ever line I have used in my 50 years of fishing. What I think is most important is to really wet you line when you tie your knot. I also lube my line with reel magic when I put it on my reel. Most breaks are poor line management. My new favorite is Seaguar Invizx.

I spent probably 2 hours in the garage today testing the Palomar and the double clinch with 17lb Trilene Floura and 15lb Invisx. I would tie the knot and hook the hook on the handle of a 5 gal bucket that had a 10lb weight on top and a few softball in it. I have no idea what it weighs. Every knot I tied with the Floura would not even budge the bucket and would break about 1/4 in above the knot or the knot itself would break. After all the frustration I grabbed a spool of 15lb Big Game and tied a Trilene knot. It picked the bucket up probably 1in before it broke about 3in above the knot. And yes I wet every knot and even tried chap stick on some. I think I am taking all the floura off and go back to big game on everything.
