I fished a pond north of Greenville the other morning. Heaay rain all morning, but a wild topwater bite. I love seeing full ponds again. Plus #1 on the full Ponds! Would love to see about 3 inches of rain in June!

Thanks "Dfitz" and "fishblues" for the replies. "Fishblues" the pond is a private pond.

Wait I thought they were native? And yes in s.a. they are easy to find in most creeks rivers here. They are native. But they are native to the United States and Texas only in the Rio Grande and Pecos. The other waters they have introduced to.
FISH ON!! <'///><

I wish they would. "Gitter" State Record is a little over two pounds. I have seen em bigger. The biggest one I have seen was a little over 12 inches and probably in the three pound range. The State of Louisiana has some Monster Rios! I have heard they get well over three pounds there.
