Used lighting rods for years then switched to Falcons and I am now using the new lighting rod Shocks and have been very pleased with them, they are reasonably priced, and have good sensibility. I don't buy the high end rods because I'm so hard on them, usually step on the eyes and bend them 2 or 3 times and they break off after being straitened 2 or 3 times. For the price the Shock is hard to beat! Love the Shocks!!! +1

Regular LRs are good, shock series are better. Worth the extra $10.

You gotta make the call for your fishing. Be sure to pick up every rod in the models you are considering, the rods can vary in consistancy. Find the 1 rod,you like best for your purpose.

I've got a 6'6 MH shock that I use for chunking spinnerbaits. It has caught a bunch of fish for me this year.
