Murrell Park is open. The campgrounds are still camp-able(sp??). I encourage those who are camping to still do so, because I believe kayakers hold most of the campsites. Twin Coves does not allow overnight camping. It's a short paddle from Hippie Point to our new location.

I will also mention that the boat ramp at Twin Coves is also closed, but the parking around it remains open, so that gives even more room.

A couple of photos from this morning.

Thanks for the map, that is exactly what I needed. To me it doesn't matter where we are, I will be there. Thanks for all the updates to make us folks that don't adapt well to change comfortable smile

I am heading out in about 15-20 mins, I should be down at Murrell Park around 1-1:30 pm this afternoon. I will be on the look out for anybody camping to help encourage you to get out on the water and get some fishing in today smile. Thankfully the change to the spot is not that big of a deal, it will be a fast paddle from the campsites over to the new spot, so that should not be to much of a inconvenience anybody.

Thanks for the info. I'm good for a paddle to Twin Coves. Just want to make sure I can park, and camp at the original spot.

Yes! As we have mentioned the camp sites are OPEN at Murrell Park. Everyone that made reservations should continue with there plans IMO. According to all the post & Murrell Park staff we have the camping areas mostly to ourselves. There will be lots of hanging out there as well as Today - Sunday. If you are camping at Murrel park you will still be in good company thumb

TMS Race weekend in progress

Please remember that the races are going on this weekend @ Texas Motor Speedway, and traffic is sure to be troublesome around the I35W and 114 area, which is just a little west of Flower Mound.
Friday evenings and Saturday mornings seem to have the most activity. So be careful out there on I35.
Oh - and *don't* try to go to that Walmart in Roanoke this weekend - it's over the top craziness! smile

I've got a lot more to get done before I can get down there. I looks like it will be tomorrow morning before I make it. See ya'll Saturday.

I'm excited. Big thanks to everyone who put in all the work to set this up, and keep us updated. I'll be heading out around 1300.
