I most dislike how the weight of a bass is all that is important to some people. Somehow an angler sucks if he hasn't caught a 10lber. Nothing is taken into consideration like size of the lake, tackle used, age of angler, who you were fishing with, etc. A 4 lb bass with my dad is more important to me than a 6 lb bass by myself. Honestly if you are interested in the weight of a fish, bass probably are not the best species for you to pursue. Is one person better than another because he is fatter?

Same goes for Deer Hunting. I am against B & C scores. Some people will be just disgusted with a 159 3/8" B & C.

To me, quanitifying a trophy based on 1 thing (weight or B&C inches)leaves out the actual memorable factors.

Mine is how over priced boats are these days.

I will agree with boats being overpriced being a college student I hate being limited to where I can fish because of the wind in my little boat.

People taking my spot. People power wake-ing me. Double digit wind. Loosing "the" lure. Some idiot swimming in a channel with a kayak strapped to his back..people beating me with an a rig... you know, nothing big.

Amen on all 3 of these!!!

These are all great points. I'm wondering if I should take up golf???

But seriously. How is it that these boats are so high? I could afford on if I didn't fish for a year. I think fishing has got to be the most expensive sport

Like Fouzman said, it is a release. Nothing depressing about it.

I go fishing because I like to see other people catch fish. I enjoy seeing the thrill they get from catching their first 5 pounder or their first 12 pounder whatever the case may be. There are so many variables to fishing the challenge for me is to figure them out and make them bite. If you get depressed easily because you don't catch them big every time you go, you may want to find another hobby.

Just a few: I fished alone for 20+ yrs so many experiences and no one to share them with. None of my children ever had any interest in fishing, and last so many lakes I wanted to fish but will probably never get the chance.
