I really hope that was a joke or he's your buddy?

The day after catching a lot of fish is still a good day.

There is nothing wrong with that I have 24 combos but used to only have a couple. U do t need that many to catch fish but it's addicting

I only have a handful, but I don't fish competitively--just a church tourney--which is just for bragging rights. There are a few techniques that I enjoy. I have those things ready to go on tournament day, and I hunt for locations where those techniques ought to work. I have a few rods that are technique specific that are ready to go in the rod box in case I have to do something differently than what I set out to do. I guess if I had a boat that was large enough to handle 10 rods and me stumbling around on the deck...maybe.

My wife uses LH baitcasters just like me, and so I HAVE to have at least 6 extra at all times if she goes fishing with me.

I think I've got 15 baitcasters that could be in the rotation (usually just 14 though, I haven't used my late uncle's Calcutta 51 in years though I just re-did the internals).

So in total 15 working baitcasters, 17 baitcasting rods, 8 spinning rods, and 5 spinning reels.

all my stuff is either mid or upper mid grade though, especially on my rods though (save for the Cumulus and Zillion Type R combo).

I'm usually either bass fishing or doing something with my ultralites (love me some ultralite fishing with my lighter spinning gear).

I am actually scared to go out to my storage unit and count how many rods and reels that I don't use anymore. I have 6 combos that I use on a regular basis but can't seem to part with the others. I can't recall why in the hell I bought ALL those 5 1/2 to 6ft.pistol grip rods! I haven't used one in ten years.

Do like me. I taught myself to cast with my left hand, and reel with my right. Never have to switch.

So the big question........
Do you think the fish know how many rods you have strapped down on your boat? "Hey Wally, don't bite that worm he only has 6 rods, let's wait for the guys with 10+ to come by"

GO FISHIN!!!!!!!!!

I only have 6 and really only need mabey one more, a giant swimbait slash bama rig rod... but I was thinking about gett'n a scrape rod so that I could throw the big swimmers and punch with it... I can't stand to have a gillion rods on deck 6 is about the max I like...

ps I have a left handed reel for flipping, way more efficient when you don't have to switch hands... bought it on purpose and love it
